“Sodium lignosulfonate additive” is not one universal grade. Construction water reduction, slurry dispersion and dry-particle binding require different specification priorities and acceptance tests. Industrial buyers should select the exact product code first, then validate it in the actual formulation.
Choose the Correct Grade
| Primary function | Green Agrochem grade | Best-fit applications | Key qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Concrete dispersion, plasticizing and set modification | GAC-NaLS-Construction | Concrete and cement formulations | Slump/flow, water reduction, air, setting, bleeding, strength and compatibility |
| Particle dispersion | GAC-NaLS-Dispersant-P | Ceramics, minerals and selected aqueous formulations | Rheology, particle size, settling/suspensibility, foam and storage |
| Powder or granule aggregation | GAC-NaLS-Binder | Industrial powders, granulation and briquetting | Moisture window, green/dry strength, abrasion, dust, drying and downstream effects |

Supplier-Recommended Construction Trial Data
Supplier-recommended starting trial range: 0.20–0.30% by cement weight for GAC-NaLS-Construction, according to TDS Rev. 2.0. Before use, confirm whether project calculations require as-supplied or dry-solids normalization and whether “cement weight” means cement alone or total cementitious material. Optimize through controlled laboratory and plant trials using the actual cement, SCMs, aggregates, water, temperature, sequence and other admixtures.
| TDS statement | Evidence type | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Water-reducing capacity: 8% min (property table); application text states up to 9–11% water reduction | Supplier document data without a disclosed mix, control or test method on this page | Do not guarantee either result. Establish control consistency and measure water reduction under an agreed concrete method. |
| Extends setting time by 3+ hours | Supplier application statement without cement, dosage, temperature, control or method | Treat as a screening expectation only; measure initial/final set in the customer’s mix. |
| Improves strength and freeze-thaw impermeability through micro air entrainment | Performance statements requiring project-specific evidence | Test strength and durability directly; incidental air does not prove freeze-thaw compliance. |
Dispersant Grade Snapshot
GAC-NaLS-Dispersant-P TDS Rev. 2.0 lists brown powder, dry matter 93% min, water-insoluble matter 0.5% max, calcium & magnesium 0.5% max, lignosulphonate content 70% min and moisture around 7%. Its TDS provides no numerical dosage. Use the detailed Lignosulfonate Dispersant Grade Data and Testing Guide.
Binder Grade Snapshot
GAC-NaLS-Binder TDS Rev. 2.0 lists yellow-brown powder, dry matter 95% min, water-insoluble matter 1.5% max, sulphate 2–5%, calcium & magnesium 0.5% max, lignosulphonate content 55% min, Brix 50% min and moisture 7% max. Industrial powder and granule users must validate binder addition, moisture, strength, abrasion, dust and processing. Feed and fertilizer applications should follow their respective division and regulatory documents rather than this industrial overview.
Packaging and Document Control
The Construction and Binder TDS documents list 20 or 25 kg lined bags and 500 or 600 kg FIBCs; the Dispersant Grade lists 25 kg lined bags, 500/600 kg jumbo bags and customer-agreed bulk options. Each lists 24 months in original unopened packaging under cool, dry, ventilated storage. Confirm the exact grade, form and contract because packaging can differ.
Request the current TDS, MSDS/SDS and shipment COA for the exact product code. Do not combine limits from different grades in one purchasing specification. Contact info@greenagrochem.com with the application, raw materials, required tests, annual volume, packaging and destination.
